A spiced black-tea chai with roasted cacao shells from Toronto chocolate maker Chocosol, so the cup brews light in colour but tastes clearly of cacao. Good with a splash of milk, and it contains caffeine.
Blended in Toronto: Pluck, a Toronto tea maker founded in 2012, blends and packs its teas in the city.
Canadian ingredients, by name: several Pluck blends carry a named Canadian ingredient, like Nova Scotia cranberries, Ontario apple or cacao shells from Toronto's Chocosol.
Nothing artificial: Pluck says it puts no artificial ingredients in any of its blends.

Flavor Profile
Cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, star anise, black pepper, fennel and cloves make the chai, and Pluck grinds them fresh. The roasted cacao shells come from Chocosol, a Toronto chocolate maker, and they give the cup more cacao than its light colour suggests. Simmer it on the stove with milk and it turns spicier and fuller.

How to Brew
- Quick: 1 tea bag in 8–12 oz of freshly boiled water, 5 minutes. Add a splash of milk, and sweeten if you like.
- Stovetop: 2 tea bags in a pot with 5 oz water and 5 oz milk. Bring it to a bare simmer, lower the heat so it stays hot but never boils, and steep 15–30 minutes. Remove the bags. Spicier and fuller.
- Iced: 2 tea bags in 6 oz of freshly boiled water, 5 minutes. Sweeten while it's warm, remove the bags, then chill 10 minutes in the freezer or pour slowly over ice. Add chilled milk. Pluck suggests a cinnamon-sugar rim.
With honey: Our Buckwheat is bold enough to hold its own against the spice and cacao; stir it into the pot on the stovetop version.
